Whew! What a ride! Surveys show that an inordinate percentage of people want to write a book. I have always been one of them, writing short stories and poetry in primary school. I’d get an idea, write a few hundred… sometimes a thousand or two words and it would sit on my computer or on a shelf until I eventually lost track of it.
Last year I was forced into staying at home with little to do and I started to read some crazy stories advertised on Facebook. It was a decent story, poorly written and when I was done I thought, ‘I can do this.’ So with help from YouTube, I dug out one of my old stories and started to write. Looking back, I would never have believed I’d write over 700,000 in less than a year.
It’s been a crazy ride. Loretta, our King is the first book to be finished at ARC
