It’s several minutes past midnight. You stand alone, staring across a windblown field at an aging house that beckons you nearer. The front door is slightly ajar, as if it is inviting you inside, silently offering its protection against the furies of an approaching storm that rumbles in the distance. The shadows that move back and forth just behind the curtains give you pause, but the siren that dwells in your mind begins to sing her seductive song – and how sweetly she does sing it. Her sultry voice drives you ever onward through the growing gale, once more igniting a morbid curiosity that causes you to peer into dark places – even when your rational mind tells you it’s better to leave those places unexplored.
Crimson House is where L M Glegg confronts his shadow self, and he invites you along with him. Alternative realms of possibility, of intrigue, of danger await you within its walls should you choose to enter. Wander this forsaken place at your pleasure and get to know its tenants by reading their stories, but never lose sight of the exit.
