A collection of multi-genre short fiction written, edited, and selected by Campfire’s community.

In Spring 2024, members of Campfire’s community on Discord entered into a competition to write a short story based on an assigned prompt. And now, those story seeds planted in the spring bloom as autumn nears.

A barista who reads a fortune that changes his life. An old knight who goes on one last journey to lay his true love to rest. A colony-ship biologist who cultivates a remnant of the home they left behind. Enclosed are stories of epic beginnings, melancholic endings, and distinctive slices of life. From demons with a fondness for a certain citrusy fruit; to necromancers who make an art out of death; to vampires with a hunger for…milkshakes. 

In total, Story Seeds: An Anthology comprises 29 tales of love and loss, hope and regret, magic and derring-do, and simply, chaos; stories sprouted of our community’s creative efforts. We hope you enjoy them!
