The first Final Breath has been found. Lelavin, Creed and Copper are ready to leave Vale Eliane and stop the Serpent. But, with the unexplained disappearance of Nathan, Cora is ordered to leave Vale Eliane with them. The queen says its for her own safety. Cora knows otherwise.

She’s always known that she had something to do with the king’s madness. The only way to stop it from happening again would be to send her away.

Now, the girl who never wanted to leave her home is forced to travel with Lelavin to the icy land of Ostia and beyond.

She’s not used to the road, and struggles with the loss of her friends. Guilt over Nathan’s disappearance only makes things worse. It doesn’t help that Cora has began hearing the voice of Lelavin’s Grandfather William. One of the three wizards.

Over time Cora comes to find comfort in the little group. Maybe the world wasn’t so scary. Maybe she wasn’t just a burden. And maybe, they really could stop the serpent.
