Ruby is a teenage runecaster with a tail and a bad case of amnesia. On the run from a madman, Merlin, who used him in a magical experiment, he finds refuge with Seri, a paranoid winged boy. Stranded in a derelict house with only each other for company, the homeless amnesiac and his lonely host can offer each other what the other needs. But if they refuse to face their problems, their future will always be hindered by the mystery of their origins. If lies are a blanket of blissful ignorance, then the truth is a rat maze growing more complicated with every turn.
